Sylvia made it all possible!
The team may have had its ups and downs this year, but Sylvia Knight made it all better. She made it possible for the girls to end the year on a well needed positive note.
Mid-way through the first half Sylvia saw the play developing on her right and instantly broke for the left side of the goal. Lesly saw her in the open and made a beautiful cross to Sylvia Knight who then one timed it with her left foot past the startled CATS goaltender; making it 1 - 0 Lightning.
And thats all there was for the game and for the Championship! Lightning went 4-0 in the tournament. Sylvia's goal couldn't have come at a better time. It was a reminder of what the game is played for, true love of the game........... Thanks Sylvia for letting us go out smiling..........
